And on a completely different note handmade by me will be at the lovely Treasury Market this Saturday 6th April! It is always on the first Saturday of every month and is in conjunction with the weekly Stellenbosch Slowmarket at the beautiful Oude Libertas venue outside Stellies. This is one of my favourite markets and it is ALWAYS a good day out so if you are in the area please pop by and say hi : )

If you are thinking about signing up for a Presents In The Post surprise gift, you should do so right now. I can officially (and very secretly) say that handmade by me will be joining up with Presents In The Post in the upcoming few months. Now I can’t say when, and I can’t say what, but what I can say is that it will be gorgeous!!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Presents In The Post…go here right now! With their beautiful illustrations, great selection of past presents and lovely photographic inspirations its pretty hard to resist.

“Presents in the post is a Surprise Present service and an online Shop. If you sign up, Raj will send you things by local makers in the post. Makers of things to hang on the wall, Makers of things to wear on your feet, Makers of things to DIY, Makers of things to take on a trip, Makers of things to keep up your pants, Makers of things to give to a friend. As soon as all the presents have been delivered and unwrapped, the shop will be open for perusal. A chance to explore more things made by the monthly maker.”

How it works.

  • Sign up.
  • Pay R250 for one surprise present made by a local designer or artist.
  • Tell us if the present is for a boy or a girl.
  • Customise your present by clicking on your favorite picture.
  • Decide if the present is for you or a friend. If its for a friend, write them a letter.
  • Wait for your present in the post.
  • Once Raj has delivered all the presents, check out the shop for more designs by the monthly maker.

Last orders for Christmas deadline dates!!

Here are the post office deadlines for any orders that you would like to receive by Christmas! I generally post items 1 to 2 days after the order has been placed. Items ordered on the deadline day will still be posted out the next day . Please note that it is hard to keep up to date with stock at the moment as it moves pretty quickly this time of year, so if you would like to find out about stock levels before ordering please email me, I am happy to help you during this crazy time of year!

Please also note that my studio will be closed from the 20th December to the 4th January so no orders will be posted out during that time, but you may place orders to be posted out when I am back, provided they are in stock.

NATIONAL AND LOCAL ORDERS DEADLINE
Last day to order with post office shipping option: Thursday 13th December
Last day to order with courier (same day and overnight): Tuesday 18th December

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS DEADLINE
Last day to order with post office shipping option: Thursday 6th December

I still have a few Christmas markets lined up so if you would like to avoid any shipping costs at all you will still have a few chances to get what you want. All market info and dates can be found here over the next few weeks.

Christmas presents all wrapped up and delivered to your door…

I am offering a one-stop shop for all your Christmas presents this year! Its as easy as pie and you get to avoid any last minute christmas nightmares! All you have to do is send me a list of the Handmade By Me items you would like to buy and I will do the rest. When your items are ready I will gift wrap them individually and deliver them to your door. If you live in Cape Town you are very welcome to come and collect directly from me. For everyone else I have extremely reasonable courier fees and they can get the goodies to you within a day or two. For overseas customers I will use the post office. If any South African customers want to post items overseas I can do this for you and save you the hassle of doing it yourself. Please bare in mind for any orders not in stock I will make to order and the fabric can take around 3-4 weeks to arrive so it is best that you get your orders in as soon as possible.

There are 4 ways to best view my selection of products, here on my blog, my Etsy store, Hello Pretty and handmade by me’s facebook page.

Please note that I can customise orders for you too. If you see something you want, but its not available in the design you like, chat to me I am happy to help!

NEW: tea towels, greeting cards and gift wrap!!!

Tea towels and greeting cards in all my designs are now ready to purchase online at my Etsy store. Feel free to have a look and see if there’s anything you fancy.  All tea towels are printed onto a cotton linen canvas which is the best of both worlds really, linen for quality and cotton for softness, and they will last. Don’t forget about my Save the Rhinos tea towels, I’ll be donating 10% of any purchases to www.stoprhinopoaching.com

And after my valentine card became so popular I decided to make some others using my designs. These are printed onto a silk card and folded into A6 size, and are available in mixed sets of 5 different patterns, with plain white envelopes included. There are 2 different sets to choose from. See below.

I am also starting a gift wrap service where I will wrap your purchase nicely and include a message from you in a card with the same pattern. ie if you choose to buy a vintage floral cushion cover for a friend’s birthday, I’ll wrap it up, write your personalised message into a card with the vintage floral pattern on it, and send it to the address you choose when purchasing. Please ask if you want to know more about this.
