Oh Christmas Tree…Oh Christmas Tree…

What better a way to end off this crazy crazy year than to show you my Christmas tree that I designed and created for Garden & Home magazine. I am so proud and honoured to have been a part of this, and it really was so much fun, both making it, and shooting it!

I would also love to use this opportunity to thank you all so very much for all the support this year! It has indeed been a crazy one, but Handmade By Me is doing better than ever, and I have lots of lovely tricks up my sleeve for next year. I wish you all a lovely and relaxing festive season, and all the very best for the year ahead.

Last round for Christmas…

We’re working round the clock here at Handmade By Me to make sure you get all you want this Christmas. Unlike some of the bigger retail chains out there, when you buy handmade and local, you get extra special TLC to make sure you get what you want when you want it! Unfortunately last orders using the post office must be in by midnight tonight.┬áBUT my trusty courier company are working right up until Christmas, so if you live in a major city in South Africa, I can very easily overnight your presents right to your door. If you live in Cape Town you are also very welcome to collect from me in Vredehoek. So you still have a few more days if you need a little extra time, but all final last orders for Christmas must be in by Friday end of day!

Then we’re going to take a little break, soak up some sun, eat lots of food and drink lots of wine, and spend lots of time with our family and friends! We will be back in action on 6 January next year.

If you need some inspiration for those last minute gifts, have a look at some of Fair Lady magazine’s colour co-ordinated gift ideas for Christmas. You may spot a few items of mine…

get your Christmas shop on…

So its been a busy last few weeks with my pop-up shop, The Shoestring Collective, officially closing its doors at Gardens Centre, Cape Town. It has been the most incredible experience of my life, and as sad as I am to see it go, I am delighted to finally be able to relax and unwind…and spend more time on Handmade By Me : )

For those of you who are not on facebook, I would like to introduce to you my Christmas Jumper Christmas range! With a huge norwegian scanda influence, as well as my missing of the infamous cheesy Christmas Jumper parties back in Dublin (it’s just too damn hot here!), I have designed and created a very wintery and northern-hemisphere-nostalgic Christmas pattern. The design is available in red and mint green, and I have made Christmas stockings (perfect gifts for little children), Christmas tea towels, Christmas aprons (made to order), and Christmas gift wrap. All available to buy from the Handmade By Me online shop and various other stockists : )

Speaking of stockists, I am really delighted to let you all know about an amazing new South African designer shop called SAM (South African Market) which will be opening its doors on Bree Street later in the week. I will have a full range of Handmade By Me products available to buy there, and as far as I know there are a lot of pretty awesome designers involved, which means a lot of pretty awesome things to buy! Here is a link to their facebook page and their website will be live very soon!

I also want to let you all know that I will be at The Treasury Market‘s Christmas market in Stellenbosch this coming Saturday. Its always a good day out there, and there will be lots of lovely designers joining me there! This will probably be the only market that I am going to be part of before Christmas, so I really hope to see you all there to toast an incredible year end, and hopefully a very exciting new year ahead!
