We have had some really great media love for the month of May and we wanted to share it all with you here. First up is this really great shoot and feature in Sarie magazine. I love what they did with my products for the shoot below, and am so very flattered to have been given a full page feature, and to be featured alongside some really talented designers.

And then one of our friends discovered one of our phone covers in the Mango Airline inflight magazine, Juice, and sent us these pics. Our lovely Midnight Blue Mosaic phone cover made it onto the Ed’s Choice : )

a flamboyance of flamingoes…

Today we have a whole flamboyance of flamingo inspired things to show you! While the northern hemisphere is slowly starting to thaw out, and we’re just getting to enjoy the best part of our summer, the whole world is going crazy for these crazy beautiful birds!

We are especially excited about this really beautiful tropical inspired wedding decor shoot that Wedding Album magazine did recently using our Pink Flamingo napkins. How beautiful is this wedding spread? Makes me want to go back and do mine all over again : )

This young lady in Australia had her surfboard customised using our Pink Flamingo linen cotton fabric. How cool did this turn out? Makes me want to go surfing immediately!! Thanks so much to her for sharing these pics with us!

We are so delighted that our Pink Flamingo Wallpaper has been featured in the latest Woman & Home magazine, as part of their Home Edit! These little deco inspired birdies of ours are sure to liven up any home!

So much lovin’ in the new Tuis and Home…

When I first saw the September issue of Tuis and Home magazines, I was just so excited to see what they had gotten up to on their shoot with our products, I had no idea it would turn out this beautiful (check out the placemats in the recipe section) or that they would feature so many of our products!! There is just so much beautiful Handmade By Me lovin’ going on here we just had to share it all with you…


This wasn’t actually a product feature (below), but how cool was it to discover our Pretty Proteas cushion sitting all comfy on the couch of this beautiful sustainable house in Bo-Kaap!

I am so excited to be a part of this that I couldn’t resist facebooking and tweeting and now blogging about it. I have always been a big fan of and when they asked me to be a part of a South African collection they were working on I couldn’t believe it!

monday afternoon catch up…

I am super happy to let you all know that I have had one of my fabrics featured in the latest edition of House and Leisure alongside a really great selection of fabrics by different South African textile designers. You can see my pink vintage squares fabric there on the third shelf from the top! The fabric is available to purchase by the yard directly from the handmade by me online shop where I offer 3 different types of fabric in the same design (100% soft cotton, a linen cotton blend and an upholstery weight 100% cotton twill), all depending on what you would like to use it for. Napkins galore for Good Housekeeping this Christmas…

Handmade by me has been featured twice in the latest issue of Good Housekeeping magazine and I couldn’t be happier. Firstly my Origami Birds napkins were used in a shoot which shows a really creative and gorgeous take on your typical festive table for Christmas. What a really lovely idea!!
